To interview for a job after not working for over a decade

To stand in front of a room full of strangers

To give an important presentation for those you’d like to impress

To sing backed by an orchestra

To drive on unfamiliar roads

To speak a foreign language when the stakes are high

To choose to be a mother when you’re barely not a kid yourself

To seal your life to another’s when the future is vast and so many changes are possible

To move alone across the country
