Jeff's brother Kyle married Amber today. We flew to the US to be there to support them, and it was a wonderful weekend in a cabin in Ohio with Jeff's parents, his siblings, and their wives/partners. As part of the reception, Kyle and Amber had a scrapbook table set up. There were lots of stickers, pens, and cute paper. There was even a digital printer, so you could take photos at the wedding and print them out right there to glue into the scrapbook. It was such a fun idea. Me being me not only did I put pictures and stickers in their scrapbook, but I wrote them a poem as well. Along with the scrapbook table, they also had a hot chocolate table, which I frequented . . . maybe four or five times, hehe. They also had baskets with blankets and hand warmers, which I made good use of as well. I had hand warmers shoved in each shoe and inside my gloves. (Possibly two hand warmers in each shoe if I'm being honest.) The hand warmers and blankets had a cute sign above them that said, "to have and to hold in case you get cold," and that is how my poem began to formulate in my brain.
To have and to hold
Now young—especially when old
To argue and to fight
But always love with all your might
To treasure and to cherish
Never let your feelings perish
Remember to choose each other first
Even after you’ve both seen your worst
What you build together
Will then last forever
