And here is June already!

Well, I said I would have my hair cut short after the wedding, and I did! How hot it got was definitely a strong impetus as well. I am happy to say that Daniel's fingers have only been caught in my hair once since the cut.

I forgot to take a "before" picture, so you'll have to settle with a picture of me pigging on pizza. At least my hair looks good. They had to cut it in a ponytail, so I can donate it. That left the back of it pretty short, but I do have length on the sides in the front. I asked to look like Natalie Teeger from the show Monk. My hair is obviously not as blonde as hers, but they did a pretty good job mimicking one of her shorter looks (I think).

I mostly like it, but every now and then I feel like I look like a boy. And I definitely have not figured out how much shampoo to use now. Ha. (I do like it a lot better than my only other really short haircut from the summer of 2004. Ugh. I don't even like remembering that one.)

On a secondary note, I also got contacts again. I haven't had new contacts since 2006. So, you probably won't see me in glasses for a while (unless you come over early in the morning or late at night).

Jeff's youngest brother graduated from high school.
We are so proud of him!

Jill really loves her Uncle Kyle.
(And if you are small enough to fit in Jill's playhouse, please come and visit us. Because Jill is desperate to get someone in there with her, but none of us fit and Daniel can't walk yet.)

Bunny and Pappy came for a wonderful week long visit!

Jill is keeping me busy (and entertained) as usual.
Jill was looking at a picture of her and me in the hospital from her birth. She thought the picture was of Danny, and I said, "Actually, that's you Jill." When Jeff came home from work, Jill repeatedly told him "Actually, that's me, Daddy." Pretty cute! (Of course that reminds me of Danny's nickname "Shallwe.") :)

And you can never have enough sleep!

Jill woke Jeff up the other morning by walking into our room and saying "hey you" as she poked him.

Oh, and if Jill didn't already show me signs every day of how grown up she is getting, her definitely is one! She now has about ten songs memorized. Probably more. She surprises me all the time by just singing a song out of the blue. I'll try to get it on video one of these days.

  1. My hair has been short for over six months and I'm still having the shampoo problem. But isn't short hair so refreshing? Yours looks so cute. :) And Jill is getting so big! She's adorable.

p.s. I'm really excited to see you. It's almost here. :D

  2. You hair is so so adorable. I think it's perfect on you.

  3. so cute. so cute. so cute.

And we also have been hyping up this trip too early. This morning we went to pick strawberries with some of Hallie's buddies, and I told her we were going to see friends and she was insistent that it be Jill Bean. I told her that would be next week, and she didn't really like that.

  4. Your haircut looks adorable on you!

  5. I love your hair cut! I think it is funny that you feel like you look like a boy some times. I definitely get that feeling sometimes with my short hair! Also, that is so cute that Jill sings songs. Benji loves singing songs, too. If I ever try to sing with him, he tells me, "No! Bop!" which means, "No! Stop!" lol

  6. You do NOT look like a boy. Your hair is VERY cute (always a fan of the short cut, unless I'm growing it out, lol).

  7. I love your hair! You look so good. I wish Ryan could play with Jill in her play house. They would have so much fun.

  8. Wow I haven't been on to read blogs in forever! I miss you! And I love your haircut- your hair grows so fast it seems like you just got it cut short- I can't believe you had so much to cut off!
    I love the pics!!
I won't be at the gym all week next week, Lilly has a little day camp she is going to at the same exact time- go figure. But I will be at the pool in the afternoons :) hope to see you!

What's on your mind?
