After months of discouragement, we are finally experiencing some good news on the job front. :) Jeffrey has reservations to fly to California in two weeks to interview there with Aramark and has a phone interview with Sodexo in the near future. The Aramark job could be anywhere in the West region. You accept it, go through a 6 to 8 week training program, and then get placed in your region, which for the West is mostly Colorado, Nevada, Wyoming, and California.
The Sodexo job is for an actual job (rather than just the company as a whole) and is located in Cincinnati, which of course exites us very much!
A third job we're dreaming about is assistant facility director of athletic facilities at Indiana University. They have a lot of applicants, but his resume made it through the first round, and he was asked to submit his college transcripts and letters of recommendation. We just received an e-mail from them confirming receipt of those. Who knows when we'll hear back again, but it would be a very exciting job to have.
On my job front, it is coming to an end. It's kind of weird. I've been there since Sept. 2007, and I've really enjoyed it. It is familiar and something I am good at. Motherhood is pretty unknown, and I don't know how good I'll be. I'm very excited to try hard to be really good at it though!
Today is 35 weeks, so I'm 2 weeks away from full term and 5 weeks away from overdue. Pretty thrilling! Jeff and I sure wouldn't mind if she came the last week of April, but with our luck, haha, she'll probably be the second week of May or something. :)

Things are going to start happening soon! You'll be a great mom. Don't ever doubt that.
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how strange it is to go to the full time mommy thing (since I did it too... gosh, was it 9 years ago? wow!) but I think you will do great! I know how well you do your job (since you've been the best supervisor ever!) and I bet this will help you in your role as a Mom. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, Kristin. :) I appreciate that vote of confidence!
