It looks like it will still be a little while until the baby comes. I am not dilating as fast as we would have liked. Currently I am at 3cm, and the cervix is very thin. The contractions are really strong and I now have an epidural, which is amazing. The contractions are consistent and just what you want. The blood pressure is great and the baby's heartbeat is great. Basically I just need to dilate and then we will have Jill. Could be 3-5 more hours.

Thanks for the update! I have been thinking about you guys all day. Epidurals ARE amazing. Keep up the good work! You're doing great! She will be here soon! :)
ReplyDeleteI know it could be that long, or you could go super fast. Sometimes you just have to get past a certain number. This is so exciting! I almost feel like I am there!
ReplyDeleteMims, Petocin and Epidurals go together like PB and J! Petocin contractions are so much different than natural ones, stronger and closer together, so you don't get the 'rest' in between that your body needs. An epidural is really the best thing when you're induced I think. Feel great about it and good luck! We'll come to see you tomorrow if you feel up to visitors!
ReplyDeleteHang in there! You're doing great.
ReplyDeleteToday is Peter's birthday. Tomorrow is mine. That's very cool, Mimi! Keep us posted. And just think: You'll be able to hold your baby as soon as she's born! You don't realize how important that is until it's not a possibility. I hope everything is going/went well!
ReplyDeleteI should have known you'd have your computer. Hehehe. You're awesome Mims!
ReplyDeleteGood luck, glad the epidural is working so well for ya, and I can't wait to see pics of Jill!!!
Oh, and your room is a lot like mine, only the couch for Michael was...well, not a fold out, that's for sure. Jeff will hopefully get some good sleep!
