Rest in Peace

Mandy was laid to rest this afternoon by the veterinarian. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for taking care of her. And thank you for modern medicine that allowed her to pass away peacefully instead of starving to death.
I wonder if animals get to remember heaven or if this is a trial for them as well? Obviously not the same kind of trial as we have, because they are God's creations rather than His children, but I do wonder where exactly she is now. I believe in an afterlife for pets. I'm just a little hazy on the details.

I guess I'll find out when I'm in the afterlife, too!

Goodbye for now, Mandy.

  1. What a beautiful picture of her!

    We'll all miss her.

Mom and dad forgot to put out a litter box for Bubbles, and so dad had to drive all the way back to MI just to put one out, then he's driving BACK to grandma and grandpa's house... times like these life is a trial, eh? We all know Mandy wasn't sad to miss out on that experience!

  2. I choose to believe that we get our pets back when we get to the other side. I don't honestly think Sassy would be happy with anyone else, do you? :P

  3. Sassy definitely would not be happy with anyone else, Melissa. :)

Amy, our parents are crazy. Hehe. :) And yes, Mom sent me that picture of her, and I thought it was beautiful.

  4. I'm sorry about your cat, I always wonder what happens to our pets after they die. I bet they will all run to greet us when we die. That is what I like to believe :)
