BYU Beat Utah

Today was a great day. The pleasant weather has stayed with us. :) I went to to a baby shower and dreamed of having my own baby soon. I went over to the library, picked up two books (The Two Princess of Bamarre by Gail Levine and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L'Engle) and the Pregnancy for Dummies DVD.

Jeffrey mentioned that he heard on the news that this February has been the warmest in Utah history. I believe it!

Evidence of the Great Weather :)

Jeff and I then went to the BYU men's basketball game. After a uncertain first half, BYU came out really strong in the second half and pulled off a commanding victory over the Runnin' Utes. Both teams played well, but BYU was really on fire. My favorite moment in the game was definitely when Lee Cummard blocked a Utah player's dunk. I didn't even know that it was possible to block a dunk. :) Way awesome.

We got there an hour early in hopes to get a seat in the student section where we didn't have to stand. We definitely underestimated the student section. We ended up in the very top with our backs against the wall, and it was nice to have something to lean on.

The students that got there much earlier were all given T-shirts and towels. At the beginning of the game, during the school fight song, all of those students waved their towels. It was a moving sea of white and was pretty cool. Jeffrey took this video of it.

Here we are, happy in the victory. I'm laughing, because this is our third photo attempt. In the first two, Jeff kept doing this weird smile that he says he didn't realize he was doing. He was showing no teeth and making his lips really thin. Hm. :)

  2. Hey now. Your husband did his undergrad and grad at BYU, so you need to find a little more love in your heart for it. Especially since the Cougars and Boilermakers will never play each other. :) There's no harm is loving both!
