So much for good intentions

So, I looked, and the two dermatologists my OB/GYN recommended were not listed on my insurance's website. My insurance's website had three listed though and I found a positive review online, so I decided to give them a try. (By the way, the one I went to months ago for my tongue was not listed, so I wonder if he got booted or if I did something wrong in my search last time.) So, I called these guys. They share a clinic and all have the same last name. There are no openings until the end of February. Well. I certainly don't want to wait a month with this itch, so I said no thanks. I asked if there was a cancellation waiting list, and she said but that I would be at the bottom and there were no guarantees if anyone would cancel. That makes sense. I might not even have this rash still by then. I'm not sure what to do now. I've never not been able to get an appointment when I need one with a doctor covered by my insurance. I guess I've been a spoiled girl.

So, I have Select Health, but I think out of their like eight levels, I have the second to the lowest level. I just went up one level and searched again, and now the dermatologists my OB/GYN recommended are listed. The one I went to a few months ago and disliked it there now too. At least now I know why it cost me so much money to go to him! My insurance didn't cover him like I thought.
